Wednesday November 2nd was a massive day in our journey at Kosli, in so many ways. I thought I’d write a short note to tie all the announcements into a more cohesive picture:
- We are making our technology available for everyone by launching our free tier. Now you can record, connect and search all of your devops, no credit card, no traps.
- As part of bringing our tech to a wider community, we can announce our $3.1M series seed funding, led by Heavybit (backers of dev tool unicorns Stripe, Snyk, Netlify, Sanity, LaunchDarkly, PagerDuty ++) together with Fortino Capital and Skyfall Ventures - read more about it!
- We have been awarded a 3.4MNOK Innovation Contract from Innovation Norway to further develop our technology over a two year period, together with customers DNB and Firi.
- And further, I’m very proud to announce that John Willis (co-author of The DevOps Handbook, Beyond the Phoenix Project, Investments Unlimited, ++) will join the company as Distinguished Researcher, and our first US employee! You can read more about his motivations to join our journey.
I’d like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the team at Kosli (Bruce Johnston, Jon Jagger, Sami Alajrami, Katerina Konstantinou, Ewelina Wilkosz, Jonathan Coull, Simon Castagna, Arstanaly Rysbekov, Leif Sørensen, and Tore Martin Hagen) who made all this possible. Their hard work and spirit is the driving force for everything we do and I’m so proud to be part of what we are doing.
And of course our customers, many of whom joined us at DevOpsDays Oslo to celebrate. Their feedback and support have been so important to making sure we focus on solving the right problems in the right way.
On a more personal note, I have to say co-founding this company together with James 3 years ago continues to be a pleasure. Taking an idea from the back of a napkin to silicon valley has been a dream for us both, and I couldn’t wish for a better co-founder, colleagues, customers, or investors - thank you all so much. 🙏
